…..go see this film: Travelling Salesman
My friend Tim Lanzone co-wrote and directed it, and I had the privilege of seeing it last Saturday at Penn’s International House.
It centers around a real concept called the Traveling Salesman Problem, which Wikipedia will explain much better than I could, and a group of mathematicians and computer scientists who crack it and have to decide whether to give the solution to the U.S. government, knowing that the power it might afford our country might be catastrophic in the long run.
It is FASCINATING. And tense. And really, really well made. And I could follow it completely, even though I am no mathematician.
It’s playing next in August at the New York City International Film Festival, and perhaps at a film festival near you after that (know any film festivals Tim should submit to? Let him know!)

Yay Tim!
